Peer Support Workshops

May 2025 Workshop: Awareness of Burnout and Compassion Fatigue

Peer Supporters will learn methods to minimize burnout & manage compassion fatigue.

  • Identify signs of compassion fatigue, vicarious trauma, and burnout
  • Recognizing symptoms and associated behavior patterns
  • Develop strategies to regulate stress and begin healthy decompression activities

 

You will have the opportunity to engage in peer support networking and foster connections with others in the field. There is no cost to attend as the training and refreshments are provided by TCTI.

Peer Support Resources

Did you know that confidentiality is protected for trained Peer Supporters by California law? Depending on your profession, AB 1116 and AB 1117 protects trained and certified Peer Supporter to do the work they do best — supporting their agencies and have the hard, deep conversations with their teams. By attending TCTI’s Basic Peer Support and Advanced Peer Support courses, you will be given the tools and knowledge you need to serve as a Peer Supporter for your department as well as information on laws and regulations.
