Wellness Coordinator Training

July 7 - 11, 2025

The course will begin with a comprehensive focus on wellness, exploring the various aspects that contribute to overall well-being. Participants will learn about different types of wellness, including occupational, retirement, leadership, social, physical, environmental, intellectual, financial, and spiritual wellness. A culturally competent clinician and trainer will discuss factors impacting emotional wellness, first responder suicide, and offer strategies for evaluating and providing recommendations to improve emotional wellness within your department.

This Nevada POST-certified management-level course is designed for first responders or civilian employees involved in wellness programs who serve as Wellness Coordinators within their departments. While the course is aimed at those in management positions, individuals do not need to be in a position of management to attend. As the course progresses, attendees will gain insight into the role of a wellness coordinator and how to develop an effective wellness program. They will also work on a group project to apply their learning in real-world scenarios, preparing them to make a meaningful impact on the wellness of their teams and organizations.
