Critical Incident Stress Management for Crime Scene Investigators

cismThis class in dealing with critical incidents is designed to help crime scene investigators understand the possible effects a critical incident can have on their psychological well-being. Trainees will explore various types of critical incidents and learn to recognize the signs and symptoms that may follow.

This class will identify strategies to effectively deal with the thoughts, feelings and emotions that may follow such an incident. The critical incident debriefing process will be described, as well as understanding the importance of this process in order to stay resilient.
